Matteo Bertelle, a career on the rise

Crowned Italian Pre-Moto3 (CIV) champion in 2017, Matteo Bertelle joined the European Talent Cup in 2018. With two victories in Jerez, he finished fifth in the overall standings.

The following year, he entered the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, where he secured a podium and finished 14th overall.

After a more challenging 2020 season (16th with 41 points), he bounced back in 2021 with a victory at Sachsenring and a seventh place in the standings.

In parallel, he competed in CEV Moto3, finishing 23rd in 2019 and 21st in 2021, while obtaining a wildcard for the San Marino GP with the Bardahl VR46 Riders Academy team.

A regular rider ready for the top 5

He secured a permanent ride in Moto3 with Avintia Esponsorama, but with 16 points in 10 races and a crash at Sachsenring causing a torn ACL, he was forced to withdraw from the second half of the season.

Back in 2023 with the Rivacold Snipers Team, he achieved two Top 7 finishes in Thailand and Qatar and finished 18th in the championship.

In 2024, he repeated almost the same course with an identical number of points.

New rider SHARK for 2025, the Italian joined the MTA Team with the goal of finishing among the top five overall.
