The promising journey of Unai Calatayud to the top level
Born on January 31, 2004, in Bicorp, Spain, Unai Calatayud first made a name for himself on his home ground, notably in the Spanish Superbiker Championship (ESBK). Winner of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU on his home soil in 2022, he finished as the runner-up in the Spanish Supersport 300 Championship in 2023. He made his debut on the world stage in 2022 under the colors of the ARCO MotoR University team, with whom he contested two races, then eight in 2023.
Calatayud, from revelation to ambition
He recorded a ninth place as his best result that year. Last year, still under the same colors, he secured his first podium at Assen (Race 1) and achieved glory at Magny-Cours (Race 1), despite difficult conditions. In 2025, he continues with the same team with the goal of fighting for the crown. The Spaniard will be supported by a promising young teammate, Gonzalo Sanchez, who is also rider SHARK.
