Eric Granado, a career between two worlds
Trained in the Rookies Cup, Scott Redding began to shine in Minibike at the age of 8. Four years later, the British rider was already racing in the Spanish championship in the Calypso Cup.
He then lined up in the national 125 championship where he caught the attention of the BQR Blusens team manager.
Vice-champion of Spain in 2007, he was only 15 years old when he embarked on his first Grand Prix season under the banner of the Spanish team. Gifted, the Brit made a splash by winning at Donington to become the youngest Grand Prix winner of all time, breaking the record held by Marco Melandri since 1998 (a record that stood until 2018).
Best rookie and 11th in the championship in 2008, Redding unfortunately failed to step up a gear in 2009.
Handicapped by his height and weight on his frail 125, he scored only half the points he had the previous season.
Michael Bartholemy approached him in December 2009 to offer him a place in the new Moto2 Marc VDS Racing team.

Eric Granado: perseverance in action
He then signs an impressive first season with two victories that lead him to a third place in the overall standings.
Discreet seventh in 2020, he regains form in 2021 with two victories and another podium, although a disappointing final race relegated him to fourth place in the overall standings.
In 2022, he is once again in the running for the title, but ends up losing it to Dominique Aegerter. For 2023, his goal was to become the first MotoE world champion in history with the LCR E-Team, but despite his efforts, four podiums including a victory in Italy, he ultimately finishes seventh due to an injury sustained in the World Superbike Championship he competes in parallel with the MIE Racing Honda team.
The 2024 season of the rider SHARK was very busy. In addition to competing in the MotoE world championship which he finished 10th with 4 podiums, he became a five-time Brazilian Superbike champion.
For 2025, Granado returns to MotoE with the goal of capitalizing on his experience to finally claim the crown on the Ducati electric V21L.
