Scott Ogden

From British circuits to the world stage

Scott Ogden has been immersed in the world of motorcycling from a young age. His father notably raced on the Isle of Man and finished on the podium of the Manx Grand Prix twice.

Born on October 16, 2003, in Great Britain, like many aspiring riders, Ogden got his start on a PW50 when he was only 4 years old before entering his first motocross race three years later riding a KTM SX50.

It was only five years later that he decided to switch to asphalt on a Metrakit GP 50 with the goal of one day becoming a world champion in MotoGP.

Very quickly, the native of Doncaster distinguished himself by clinching the GP 70 2016 champion title on his home turf.

In 2017, he shifted gears and entered the Superteens and Kawasaki Team Green Junior Cup. He then accumulated 30 podiums, including 11 victories.

An injury put an end to his rise, but his results opened the doors to the British Talent Cup in 2018, which he finished ninth.

A steady progression to the top level

His progression was confirmed in 2019, with an impressive series of 10 podiums in 12 races. He then became the second winner of the British Talent Cup.

At the same time, he also clinched the British Moto3 championship title with 14 podiums, including 7 victories, and took his first steps in JuniorGP (formerly the Moto3 Junior World Championship).

In 2020, he finished 18th in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and 15th in JuniorGP. In 2021, he scored his first JuniorGP victory at Jerez and concluded the season in sixth place behind David Salvador.

In 2022, Ogden made the big leap by joining the Moto3 World Championship with the VisionTrack Racing team led by Michael Laverty. This year was not an easy one as he retired nine times, but he still managed to score 21 points.

Despite a strong fifth place in Argentina at the beginning of 2023, he concluded the season in 23rd position in the overall standings with 24 points.

Now a member of the MLav Racing team, the rider SHARK hopes for significant improvement in 2024, determined to fully express his potential on the world stage.
