Raul Fernandez

The meteoric rise of Raúl Fernández

Raúl Fernández begins in the Spanish Moto3 Championship at 14, while also joining the Red Bull Rookies Cup where he racks up podiums.

Third in 2016, he also shines in CEV and discovers the Grand Prix as a replacement. Crowned Spanish champion in 2018, he joins the full-time Moto3 World Championship the following year with the Nieto team, but finishes only 21st after a season marked by too many mistakes.

In 2020, he moves to Ajo, climbs to his first podium in Aragon, and secures a first victory at the European GP.

He explodes in Moto2 the following year with eight wins, narrowly missing the title against his teammate Remy Gardner.

Fernández: Progression in MotoGP

Both move up to MotoGP with Tech3 KTM, but Fernández struggles to adapt and leaves the team for RNF Aprilia in 2023.

Despite an aging machine, he secures a fine fifth place in Valencia.

In 2024, under the TRACKHOUSE banner, he has his best season in MotoGP with six Top 10s, 66 points, and a narrowly missed Sprint victory in Catalonia.

Now the team leader, he aims for a Top 10 overall, or better on circuits favorable to Aprilia.
