The beginnings of Leo Rammerstorfer
Born in Linz, Austria, on August 13, 2004, to an amateur father rider, Leo Rammerstorfer couldn’t escape his destiny. From the age of three, he discovers the world of racing circuits and competition. After the training his father shares with him on mini-motorbikes, Leo takes part in his first races in 2019 on the handlebars of a Yamaha R3. His plumber father lines him up in Germany and Austria.
The big jump in Moto3
He secures his first podium in 2020 and two years later fights for the IDM title. In that same year, 2022, the young Austrian rider is selected for the Red Bull Rookies Cup. He spends three years there, steadily improving. 25th, 27th, then 13th last year, with a fifth place in Aragon; Leo Rammestorfer also gains experience in the JuniorGP Championship with the IntactGP team. This year, he makes the big jump to Moto3 Grand Prix with the SIC58 team led by Paolo Simoncelli.
