Trajectory of an exceptional rider
Rider experienced, born on July 16, 1990, Johann Zarco started in 125 Grands Prix in 2009. The Cannois won his first victory in 2011 with the Ajo team, finishing as the world vice-champion. After a stint in Moto2, where he secured two consecutive titles (2015 and 2016), he logically moved up to MotoGP with Tech3 in 2017. Best rookie with three podiums and a sixth-place finish, he quickly established himself in the premier class. His stint with KTM in 2019 was cut short, but he managed to bounce back with Ducati via Avintia, then Pramac, where he signed 14 podiums and finally claimed his first premier class victory in Australia in 2023.
Leader at Honda
After moving to the Honda camp with the LCR team the following season, the rider SHARK quickly took on a leadership role within the armada of the world's leading manufacturer. Last year, Johann Zarco even offered HRC a historic victory on the Le Mans circuit. For his third season with the Honda LCR team, the Azuréen will once again aim to be the best representative of the Japanese firm, hoping to take advantage of the RC213V's progress to add a few podiums to his record.
