ANGEL PIQUERAS

The emergence of a young prodigy

At just 19 years old, Angel Piqueras is one of the most promising young talents in the MotoGP. Born on November 30, 2006, the rider Spaniard—coming from a family passionate about motorcycle sport—discovered the circuits very early on. Talented, he quickly stood out in Spanish championships before confirming his potential on the international stage. Moto4 ESBK Champion in 2019, he then built on his performances in the European Talent Cup, the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, and the FIM JuniorGP. The year 2023 marked a decisive turning point in his career. Author of an outstanding season, he made his mark in both the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and JuniorGP, dominating his rivals thanks to an impressive total of wins, pole positions, and podiums.

A meteoric rise to Moto2

Promoted to the Moto3 World Championship in 2024 with Leopard Racing, Ángel Piqueras—once again—impressed for his rookie season by stepping onto the podium from his third race and winning his first race at Misano. Eighth at the end of his first season in the world championship, he confirmed last season his talent with the MSI team. With seven podiums, including four wins, the Requena native secured the honorary title of Moto3 world runner-up. Building on this result, he starts this year in Moto2, still with the Spanish team MSI QJ Motor.
