You have just chosen for your safety and pleasure a helmet SHARK Helmets. It has been designed with the utmost care to bring you complete satisfaction. For your safety and that of your passenger, you must comply with all safety rules when using your 2-wheeler.
The SHARK Helmets warranty assures the initial buyer that any manufacturing defect or material flaw will be covered under the SHARK Helmets warranty.
A 5-year warranty for the helmets and a 2-year warranty for the visors is granted to the buyer from the date of purchase. It is necessary to keep the purchase invoice.
LIMITATIONS
If during the warranty period a problem covered by the warranty occurs, SHARK Helmets, through its direct or indirect network, commits to repair or replace any defective elements up to the maximum purchase value of the helmet. Any labor costs would be assumed by the SHARK Helmets network but must be subject to prior agreement before the operation.
EXCLUSIONS
Only material or manufacturing problems are covered during this warranty. The responsibility of SHARK Helmets for the product cannot be questioned in the following cases:
Any damage resulting from:
1) a fall or accident
2) a technical modification made by the user or a third party (glue, adhesives, paint, screws, etc.)
3) the use or contact with harmful chemicals (including methylated spirits on visor treatments) or a significant heat source.
4) improper use: abnormal conditions (e.g., aquatic), lack of maintenance or care.
5) aging due to normal wear of the internal fabrics and foams, appearance of external parts or visor (scratches, scuffs, etc.).
6) abnormal and prolonged exposure to UV, especially for the colors of the decorations.
7) fluorescent colors (paints and/or decorations) on certain models of the SHARK Helmets range may fade over time and repeated exposure of the helmet to external elements, without it being considered a defect.
8) damaged paint after the user sat on the helmet.
9) The assembly of our helmets is done by hand with great care. Variations in reflection, appearance, or paint do not constitute a defect and are therefore not covered under warranty.
Good practices for maintaining your helmet: fluorescent colors may vary over time and repeated exposure to UV (ultraviolet) radiation. To mitigate these effects and preserve the original colors of your helmet, SHARK Helmets recommends storing it away from light and avoiding prolonged, direct or indirect exposure of your helmet to UV rays.
Furthermore, SHARK Helmets cannot consider as defects covered by the warranty all subjective consequences due to use: comfort issues, size, noise or whistling, aerodynamics, etc. SHARK Helmets cannot be held responsible for the temporary unavailability required to upgrade the helmet to meet its owner.
In any case, 5 years is the maximum warranty period for the helmets and 2 years for the visors, the replacement of any element during this time does not extend this duration.
PROCEDURES
All after-sales service requests must be accompanied by the purchase invoice of the concerned helmet.
- If you made your purchase from a SHARK Helmets dealer, please contact them directly to handle your request.
- If you made your purchase on our official website, you can contact us via the contact form so that our customer service can assist you in your process.
This warranty does not affect the legal rights of the buyer as provided by national directives. It is valid for 5 years from the date of purchase for the helmets and 2 years for the visors. After this period, the warranty is void.
To ensure optimal safety and comfort, we recommend replacing your helmet after 5 years of regular use, even in the absence of impact. Natural wear and tear, exposure to external elements, or certain impacts can alter the protective performance of the helmet.
LIMIT
SHARK Helmets reserves the right to perform warranty operations with replacement parts in the latest version adaptable to the concerned model and cannot guarantee a perfect match of paints or decorations related to specific productions and/or limited series. Moreover, the natural alteration of colors over time can also cause a distortion in the adaptation of those of the spare parts.
If SHARK Helmets is unable to ensure the repair due to a technical reason or component availability, SHARK Helmets commits to offering under advantageous conditions for the customer, taking into account the obsolescence of their helmet, either an identical new helmet or an equivalent model, if the former is no longer available.
