The 8th race of the MotoGP World Championship took place this weekend at the Assen TT circuit!

The Dutch race track is one of the oldest in MotoGP calendar. It has hosted its Grand Prix every year since 1955.
As usual, the rain made its appearance during the weekend, disrupting quite a lot of pilots.

In Moto2, Miguel Oliveira our official portuguese KTM rider, finished at the 5th place for the second consecutive time.
He is 4th in the championship!
The young Iker Lecuona, back to the competition shortly after several injuries, ranks 23rd.

In MotoGP, a complicated race for our SHARK riders.
After a amazing qualifying session, Johann Zarco jumped from first place on the starting grid.
This is the first pole position for a French rider in MotoGP since Olivier Jacque in 2002.
After a good start and a battle on track with Valentino Rossi, he decided to pass through the box to change his motorcycle when the first raindrops appeared.
Unfortunately it did not pay off because the rain stopped. He finished 14th.
Jorge Lorenzo, also disturbed by the rain, finished just behind Zarco at the 15th place and scored the last point put in play.
Both English riders Scott Redding and Sam Lowes did not finish the race.
